Through the movie's entirety I was on the edge of my seat wandering whether my favourite characters would actually make it out of the movie alive. For the first time I wasn't sure if the hero would win or not. In most of these movies deep down I know the hero will always win. Thanos in my opinion is the greatest villain the MCU has ever produced. He is the main characters of this movie, not any of the heroes. It's his story that drives the whole plot. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
